I can't believe race day finally came (and went)!

The most common question I get is, "Did you have fun?"

I don't know that I would necessarily call it fun because of all the nervousness and sleeplessness. But it was a cool experience and I'm happy I got to do it

(and live to tell about it).

Official start time

That's AM!

Who could forget Mr Slim Goodbody?
Teaching about nutrition, health and the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle was his gig. (and frightening young children)
In any event, he was the inspiration for our team name and theme this year.

They are lungs people, Lungs!

"The hip bone's conected to the leg bone!"
Can't you just hear the music in your head?

Cheering for Audrey who's ending her first leg in Paradise about 9:30 am

She passes the bracelet to me

and I'm off!
Later on that day....(about an hour, to be exact)
I finished my first leg and handed off to Chris.

Beginning leg 2 about 5 pm Friday
(in the 80 degree heat)
My 3rd leg started at the top of this hill overlooking Jordanelle Reservoir.

It went all the way down to the bottom and in to town. It was actually dark when I ran. I started at 5 am Saturday morning.

Elin, Katie, Leslie, Me, Audrey and Chris waiting for van 2 and runner 12 to arrive at the finish line.

All 12 team members cross the finish line together.

Awesome job team #150, Slim Goodbodies for an amazing race!
